Healthy snacks help children meet their nutrition needs.
For each snack, offer foods from 2 of the 4 food groups in Canada’s Food Guide:
- Vegetables and Fruit (include a vegetable or fruit most of the time)
- Grain Products
- Milk and Alternatives
- Meat and Alternatives
