Is juice a healthy drink for children?
On the food guide, 100% fruit juice is identified as a sugary drink, not to be consumed regularly. Offer children whole vegetables and fruit most often.
- If juice is offered, limit it to 125 mL (½ cup) of 100% juice per day and in an open cup.
- Avoid fruit drinks and other sugary drinks.
- Offer only water between meals and snacks.
